If you recently tuned into Al Dia con Leticia Mendoza, you may have notice something different. The show recently got a new set and look.
Al Día is a show based out of the Bay Area for today’s modern Latina. Along with the show’s co-hosts and special guests, Salvadoran host Leticia Mendoza brings you the latest must-know information about health, fitness, fashion, nutrition, beauty, finances, education and entertainment.
The ‘Al Día’ Makeover
Al Dia con Leticia Mendoza has a new look and focus—you. The show is now more feminine and caters to young adults. Mendoza added new segments to the show based on topics driven by public interest, such as:
- “#DoitLikeLeti”: Mendoza features her favorite fashions, styles and beauty tips.
- “Así de Simple”: Producer Blanca Campa offers how-to tips to help simplify your life.
- “The Glamorous Project”: Social media expert Marlu Silva teaches you about modern etiquette and beauty so you look and feel more beautiful.
- “La Claqueta”: Producer Fito Garcia brings you the latest about Hollywood’s new releases.
About the ‘Al Día’ Crew
Mendoza was born in El Salvador. At the tender age of 17, she left her family and friends and moved to San Francisco’s Área de la Bahía. She earned a degree in communications from the University of California at Berkeley. Mondoza is the star, director and producer of Al Dia con Leticia Mendoza.
Blanca Angélica Campa
Born in Zacatecas, Mexico, Campa grew up in Salinas, California. Like Mendoza, she moved to Área de la Bahía at 17 and attended UC Berkeley. She graduated with a degree in social welfare and Spanish and Portuguese literature. While in Río de Janeiro, Brazil, Campa discovered a passion for television media. She soon received a graduate degree in media communications from the San Francisco Art Institute. Campa is an Al Dia producer and the host of the “Así de Simple” segment.
Born in San José, Silva is of Mexican and Salvadoran descent. She is currently studying journalism and media with the hopes of becoming a sports and entertainment reporter. In 2012, the same year that she was crowned Miss San José Latina, Silva started the Glamorous Project to help women improve their self-esteem through various workshops. Silva hosts the Al Dia segment “The Glamorous Project.”
Born in San José, California, Martinez is a senior at San José State University. She will graduate in 2015 with a degree in radio, film and television production. As one of the latest Al Dia additions, Martinez helps produce the “Entre Amigas” segment. She also owns her own line of cosmetics.
Originally from Chapala Jalisco, Mexico, Garcia’s career began with Radio en Guadalajara at the age of 18. He later moved to Puerto Vallarta to pursue a degree in marine biology and media communications. In addition to working in radio and television, Garcia has worked as an events coordinator for art festivals, concerts, sports tournaments and film festivals. Garcia is the host of Al Dia’s “La Claqueta” segment and works on the set as a promotional coordinator and creative director.
